PLANNING FOR JUNE WEDDINGS HAVE STARTED AND…
Here’s One Story That We Hope Will Set a Trend
When 21 year old Brittany Peck of Elyria, Ohio planned her wedding day last year, she hoped all would go well with her father, Todd Bachman and her stepfather Todd Cendrosky. Both men had been a part of her life since she was 11 and the relationship between the two men had been strained.
As with every bride, she wanted her special day to be beautiful, harmonious and memorable. Brittany got much more than that, because her father, very aware of her concern, had his own plan. At the wedding Bachman walked with his daughter to the beginning of the aisle and then stopped the procession. He then rushed over to where his daughter’s stepfather was seated and pulled him up. He said “You worked as hard as I have. You’ll help us walk our daughter down the aisle.”
Cendrosky told local media, “I got weak in the knees and lost it. I couldn’t have anything better in my life, the most impactful moment in my life.”
The wedding photographer caught all the emotion of the two fathers’ walking their daughter down the aisle and it was hard to find a dry eye among the guests. The footage was uploaded to Facebook and spread around the world so it could be shared with other families.
What a great way for parents and step-parents to make their children happy and create role models for their future lives together.
