We came across a collection of wedding dress styles that “never go out of style.”
That intrigued us because if you visit a wedding gown fashion house, you can go bleary trying to distinguish one from the other.
So it occurred to us, why not consider buying your wedding dress in a thrift shop? Seriously, many thrift shops do carry them and so do antique shops. When you think about it, it may be the best buy in the shop. It probably cost more than anything else there and it was only worn once. We have a friend who bought hers for $25. and then paid $150. to have it altered to fit her perfectly. It was still a great buy.
Some of the antique shop dresses have rare lace trimming that can’t be found today which makes them really unique.
So look at the pictures in the collection of dresses that we found and see if there is anything you like. Then check out thrift shops and even used dresses offered online to find something similar. You’ll never know what you’ll find and you will be recycling something you never thought you would. What a conservationist you are!
