CIGARETTES AS WEDDING SYMBOL FOR MARY-KATE OLSEN AND OLIVIER SARKOZY

OLSEN

Former child star (“Full House”) Mary-Kate Olsen and now successful fashion designer, author, actress, etc., has married French banker based in the U.S. Olivier Sarkozy

The reception after their marriage made quite a statement as the media noted that there were bowls of cigarettes scattered around for guests.

What’s that all about and who displays cigarettes in bowls like help yourself peanuts?

Don’t get us wrong, we wish Kate 29 and Olivier 46, a long and happy life together. However, if they are both smokers, chances are their lives will be curtailed by lung cancer or another pulmonary disease.

Marriage signifies a joyous new beginning. Why make its symbol synonymous with illness and death? It’s not chic or smart and doesn’t even make sense.
