Pierce Brosnan – Being a Sex Symbol is an Illusion

Posted on Apr 29 2013 - 2:54pm by Ellie Reeve

Picture-889Pierce Brosnan has his head on straight about life and love. Born in Ireland, he moved to the UK where he studied at the Drama Centre in London. His most popular role has been that of British secret agent James Bond.

He experienced heartbreak when his wife of eleven years Cassandra Harris, died and left him with three children, Christopher and Charlotte from Cassandra’s first marriage and Sean from their marriage. He found love again when he met and married reporter Keely Shay Smith on assignment and they have two children together.

He was in a romantic mood at a Cinema Society sponsored premiere of his new film “Love is All You Need” in NYC recently and was spotted walking hand-in-hand with Keely. About their first meeting he recalled “It was captivating. She was on assignment for “The Today Show.” After 19 years, we’re still going.”
About his ongoing status as a sex symbol he says “A sex symbol on the cusp of 60…long may it last. It’s fun, but it’s all an illusion.”
