This Week, Love Won

This week was a victorious and historic one for love as SCOTUS ruled that same-sex marriage is a fundamental human right beneath the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The court’s 5 to 4 ruling of Obergefell v. Hodges now requires all states to issue marriage licenses for same-sex couples. After the decision on June 26, 2015, couples from around the nation ran to retrieve their marriage licenses and wed. Here are some pictures taken the day of the ruling, capturing newly recognized equality, human rights, and love.
