Dangerous Destiny: A Night Sky Novella
by Suzanne Brockmann and Melanie Brockmann
Genre: Young Adult

Skylar Reid has moved from Connecticut to Florida during the middle of her junior- year of high school. She is the “new girl”, and has not met any friendly people in school. Everyone has their cliques; the jocks, the geeks, stoners, wheelchair guy, and crazy girl. She keeps to herself until one day, she has no other choice but to share a table with wheelchair boy, Calvin. She and Calvin hit it off and become fast friends. Crazy girl has a destructive agenda towards Skylar and must act now to prevent something worse from happening in the future.

This book had too much fluff and not enough substance. Typically, prequels offer enough information about the characters and plot to entice the reader to purchase the first book of the series. I have read many prequels and this one never hooked me. They may be just teenagers, but there is absolutely no indication of any possible romantic connection between the characters.
