Sabah: A Love Story Movie Trailer!

Sabah: A Love Story is a wonderful immigrant romantic tale that you may have missed when it opened in theaters. Directed and written by Ruba Nadda. This Canadian indie romantic comedy stars Arsinèe Khanjian, who plays Sabah, a 40 year-old Muslim woman who has fallen in love for the first time in her life. However, there is just one problem – he is not Muslim! She lives in the multicultural area of Toronto with her mother, sister, brother, sister-in-law, and niece who all expected her to be married to a Muslim man after her father passed away, because it is what he would have wanted for her. Sabah finds herself in a completely secret affair with her Canadian boyfriend Stephan, hoping not to bring disappointment to her traditional Muslim family.
I’ll be reviewing this movie next week, but I hope this trailer will whet your appetite. And I would love hearing any of your suggestions for other lost or unsung romantic movies.
